In memoriam
Triska °12/09/1997 - † 22/08/2006
Dear Triska,
You were the first puppy we have ever bought. We didn't know to educate a dog, but with you everything went perfectly. You were a very kind bitch, our girl, our "Trezemieke", as we liked to call you. You loved our family and most of all you loved our children. Although you wouldn't hurt a fly, you barked loudly if unknown people approached our children.

On a trip you made sure that everybody was there. You only jumped in our car if you saw we weren't forgetting anyone. You really liked to come with us, especially to the sea to our caravan.
You always noticed if someone of us was sad or hurt himself. Our dear girl was there to comfort us.
the last years were a bit difficult for you. You couldn't walk as well as you used to. With the right medication and keeping your possibilities in mind, we still did a lot of things together with you.
Last year during our holidays you became very ill. You were operated 3 times within 2 weeks.
When a 4th surgery was necessary you decided that you had suffered enough. Your kidneys refused to work and we realized that you had fought enough.
With a lot of pain in our hart, we had to let you go. Our dear girl wasn't there anymore. The children and us had a lot of grief. Embo and Eltjo were searching you the first days. They really missed you.
Dear Triska, we hope you ar fine, wherever you are. We still think of you a lot! |

Akke van 't Maroyke °14/04/01 - † 05/03/05
Dear Akke,
You were one of a kind. You didn't take a good start. You were only
6 months old when you got meningitis. This was the beginning of
18 months of illnesses, a lot of pain, high fever, a lot of medication (cortisone), several examinations in the animal clinic, ...
Finally at the age of 2 years, you were cured. The disease had had a very bad influence on your character. However, for the children and us you were very kind and Triska was your best mate.
You really didn't like strange people. We always had to be very attentive and we had to take the right precausions. Although is wasn't always easy, we did it without grumbling.

In the obedience lessons you did your very best. You got your brevet with an excellent result: 96/100.
The results of your first competitions weren't very good, but when you started to work a lot better in 2005, you suddenly died.
On Friday evening 5 March 2005 your stomach reversed! We really didn't understand it. We always took care that you didn't play or take a walk with a full stomach an then something like this happened.
You were successfully operated and when we visited you on Saturday morning around 1 am, just after the operation, we thought that everything would be fine.
Still, on Saturday at 5 am, you died after all. So sudden, all at once, we even couldn't say goodbye to you.
Dear Akke, we and our children had a lot of grief and also your very best mate Triska missed you a lot.
Dear Akke and Triska,
We often think of you. The big, beautiful pictures in our living room keep all our fine memories alive. |
